from a fitness feature in time out new york about getting in shape with the cast of spider-man: turn off the dark.
my first thought was, yeah, i know they have great bodies.  i basically made them.  because underneath every one of those spidey suits, my friends, is layers of a/c foam, carefully shaped to enhance their real muscles, turning them from regular guys, with admittedly great bodies, to superheros.  [well, a superhero, rather, since they’re all the same one.]
to be entirely fair to time out—and our spider-men—there are also pictures of each guy demonstrating various exercises, sans shirt, to show off their real muscles.  AND they all talk about which stunts they do in the show, which i think is kind of cool.  of course, each spidey is convinced that his track is the hardest one in the show.
