what a weekend.

you know what is dangerous, guys?

having hair that is long enough to toss.

i had managed to break myself of the habit when it was super short.  mostly because when you try to toss hair that is like 2 inches long, it just looks retarded.  because there’s no hair.  you get it.

but you know what i love?  tossing my fucking hair.  i am such a girl that way.  i can’t wait until it’s long enough that i can just play with endlessly.  or perhaps, compulsively.  same thing, yeah?

so saturday night my new bff liz hara and i went to bootie brooklyn at public assembly.  and danced it up.

and the moral of that story is that i toss my hair a lot when i dance.  and today my neck hurts a bit.

we had so much fun!  we mostly hung out in the west coast room.  was it just me, or was that the room that was just more fun?  also, for the most part it was regular people dancing like dorks onstage, not unsexy strippers.  it probably is just me, but i prefer to watch some awkward hipster guy dance like a dork than two barely clad girls gyrate in a manner they think is appealing.  granted, i am not the target demographic for strippers.  i am totally the target demographic for dorky hipster boys though.  yeah, in general though, i prefer to watch people dance around like idiots than stripper girls pretend to be sexy.

great tunes, awkward boys dancing, basking in liz hara’s awesomeness.  oh man, and there were so many boys in plaid shirts and dorky glasses.  it was pretty much the best night.

we say funny things sometimes:

“he couldn’t have made me feel better about looking like crap if he’d tried.  and i guarantee you he was not trying.”

“yeah, he wants to hang out late next week.”
“you should have been like, ‘oh yeah, will that give enough you time to find a clean shirt?’”
“and some jeans not from the 90s?”

“this was the best bootie i’ve been to.  the djs were great, the boys we danced with were fun but didn’t try to get all up in our space.”
“that’s why i love williamsburg.  the boys are super hot and they don’t try to sexually assault you on the dancefloor.”

“those boys look like they are in a tv show about hot young gay men in the city.”
“they’re just so beautiful.  it’s like we have a trial subscription to showtime.”

“hot boys making out is like hot squared.  it’s a mathematical certainty.”
“i love math!”

i owe the internet a blog post about the show at glasslands friday night.  tomorrow, probably.  i took a million pictures.  so i guess i should do something with them.  like make a blog post.

xoxo
